I think this story is very wrong about Twitter. First, I bet more people leave because of the UX. Most people probably don’t have a social community telling them about all of the various apps available for Twitter. Second, why did anyone expect the Oprah-moms to stick around? Do they blog anywhere else? The hate-Twitter train is long enough now that smart people can’t see the benefits. I mean, a man built a chair that tweets his farts, for God’s sake. Twitter won’t do everything, but some things it does that nothing else can do, much of which we’ve yet to even think up.
